It's Not a Utopia

There are many proverbs, aphorisms, or simply fragments of a sentence that able to inspire people with only three to ten words. Which I found one that considered ought to be shared from Indonesia's young actress Nana Mirdad:

“I took my risk and changed the way I see the world, and now I’m in Utopia”

Utopia on its nature is an environment or a community where everything seems to be so perfect, where egalitarian principles are implemented thoroughly in every aspect of life which include the development of each industry in a country. A too good to be true illustration of life, which a condition that considered as an idealised image that will never come true.

But in the other hand, sometimes people are drawing back the possibilities in their life, creating their own limitation to imagine great things and shape their dreams. Patenting utopia's version of themselves because the way the see their own world are not letting themselves to grow. Perceive pessimism as a way to stay realistic, because they way they see their own dream is too high to reach. Everyone is guilty of this thing, including myself. Nonetheless, let's give a question to ourselves.

Is what we think as a utopia is indeed a utopia? Or we are just too pessimistic?

There is a fine line between being realistic and being pessimistic.

" REALISTS ACCEPT THEIR FLAWS; PESSIMISTS PUT THEMSELVES DOWN OVER THEM.

REALISTS LOOK AT SITUATIONS LOGICALLY; PESSIMISTS AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME THE WORST

REALISTS LOOK AT SITUATIONS LOGICALLY; PESSIMISTS AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME THE WORST

REALISTS LOOK FOR CREATIVE WAYS TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS; PESSIMISTS REMAIN STAGNANT BECAUSE THEY THINK IT’S UNFIXABLE "

It is important to shape our way to of seeing the world because it will affect our way to see a phenomenon and take a decision. Balakosa adapt "focus your energy on the opportunities" principle as the main principle of the creation of Balakosa itself. Because in that way, we are not letting our own self to limit our own dreams. Yes, we cannot build our dream in a day, but do we want to let our dreams are just being big pile of ideas and thoughts? Because we believe dreams are meant to be dreamt, and it is not just a Utopia.

Balakosa sees that development of many industries in Indonesia is currently hampered by its own people. Because often people do not see that what they dream off is possible, they are afraid that their dream is too high only to be let down again, afraid to build big things because of the fear being dwarfed by others. They afraid to become bigger, and better, because simply they feel that they don't have anyone to guide them or believe in them. Which in fact in the reality, what will be actually happening in the future is completely the opposite. especially Indonesia's local agricultural and horticultural industry which we consider to be the Hidden Gems of Indonesia. Do we want to let our country's hidden gem to remain untouched and undeveloped? those who should be led in the industry remain clueless? Are we willing one of our country's strongest point development are going on a relatively slow phase?

Balakosa envisions to re-invented the Indonesia's local agricultural and horticultural industry which resulting for us to create an ambitious vision which is to become Indonesia’s superior facilitator to actualize Indonesia as an independent country in production, distribution, and creation of agricultural produce. Because we believe, our vision is a soon to be a reality, not just a utopia. Our vision is reflected through our program in order to make our utopia today, a reality tomorrow.
